We usually travel to the Cabbage Patch during Bikefest and Biketoberfest to watch the girls coleslaw wrestling and listening to the bands. Last year we watch Joe Santana playing classic rock tunes, which I think is distantly related to Carlos Santana. They use to give free hot dogs at the bar. Great place. ”

“ I stop by the Cabbage Patch several times of the year for live music and fair drink prices; however, to get the best Biker experience possible, you need to patron the Patch during Bike Week or Biketoberfest. The 5+ acres surrounding the Cabbage Patch and Cacklebery Campground are essentially empty until a week or so before notable bike events. Once the events start, beware that SR-415 backs up for 30 + minutes every day around 11:30 am, and traffic tends to be worse on the weekends. Vendors come from all over the United States to participate in motorcycle events selling everything from motorcycle parts to essential oils. There is something here for everyone, even if motorcycles are not their thing. We usually plan our visits around what band is playing and when; however, when live music is not happening, people-watching is of the finest caliber, and the Coleslaw Wrestling is a blast, but you got to get over the wafting aroma of sunbaked cabbage first! Drink and food prices are probably the most affordable among all other event locations during Bike Week and Biketoberfest. I don't know any other venue selling $2 (12oz) Yuengling, Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light, and Twisted Tea; and $3 (16oz) Yuengling, Bud, Bud Light, Miller Light, Coors Light, and Truly. Many food items such as gyros, chicken on a stick, pizza, hamburgers, etc., are $1-less than on Main Street and $2-less than the International Speedway for the same quantity/quality. Due to the stereotype surrounding bikers, I know many people who are hesitant to patron the Cabbage Patch (even my riding buddies); however, I have never experienced any issues. Security is beefed-up for planned events, and police monitor the intersection during peak hours. The staff works diligently to keep canisters empty and Port-O-Lets clean. Furthermore, most of the patrons I have encountered here come to see the custom/classic motorcycles and shows, shop for merchandise and food, and enjoy the live music. I would also say that 99% of the Bikers I have met here have a family, work in a career, care about their fellow person, and have the disposable income to purchase a $16K-$40K "toy." This year marks the 80th Anniversary of Daytona Bike Week. Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch has been open for over 90-years and has hosted Bike Week events since its inception. All-in-all, if you are looking for the "Authentic" Bike Week and Biketoberfest experience, there is no better place to celebrate than Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Tavern! ”

“ Stayed next door at Cackleberry during bike week. The bands here were much better, so I spent most of my time over here. Good amount of seating, decent drink prices, but the bands were really good. The bands play until 3am during bike week, unfortunately that kept me up nights I wanted to sleep, but it is bikeweek. ”

“ What a place! Ever since 1995 my wife and I have spent way more time than we should have at and around the Cabbage Patch and the camp areas during Bike Week and Bike Fest. Sadly age and all the walking necessary we stopped attending in 2013. That does not mean we stopped loving the Patch and all the crazy people we've met there over the years. If you like motorsickles, loud pipes and loud people, more fun than is legal, nearly naked ladies, women wrestlers getting dirty and bruised, liquer, bike vendors, and more, then the Cabbage Patch is the place to go no matter what age you are over 21. Keep the damned kids at home and go have fun. With all of the new laws and the old ones being enforced some of the thrill is gone. But don't let that stop you from letting it all hang out! ”

“ There's no getting around the fact that Sopotnick's Cabbage Patch Tavern is a sleazy rat hole of place but true to biker tradition and one of the better "let it all hang out" biker bars in the country. Though the nearby Boothill may be the Mecca of Daytona biker bars, Sopotnick's is its real pearl. During Biker Event Weekends such as Biketober Fest and Dayton Bike Weekend the place is not only packed but overrun with bikers not only from all over the country but from foreign counties as well. The bar is famous for certain organized events such as the Women's Coleslaw Wresting as well as impromptu unorganized event like the Women's Deep Throat Kielbasa Swallowing Contest. Indeed, there are some who would put a carnival sword swallower to shame. The establishment itself is covered with various graffiti, the outside, the walls, even the ceiling. Some contain some rather interesting sexual reviews, but after reading a few of them, I found them to be rather mixed. For example, as some seem to agree but others don't, there really isn't any way of determining whether or not Frank (fictitious example name) does indeed give a better "head" than Lisa (fictitious example name). LOL! Anyway, Sopotnick's is, though dirty, smoky and grimy, the true epitome of a biker bar and on that basis alone I just can't go less than Four Stars for it. ”
